ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Environmental impact and sustainability have always been and are an integral fundamental part of our business.

 

Located in a rural village environment on the Welsh/Shropshire border since 1993, Right Sort Limited has always been aware of and practiced the notion of sustainability, recycling and respect for the environment.  

 

We equally accept our responsibility for health, safety and welfare of our staff and others (public, contractors and visitors) that may be affected by our business.

 

Our current goal is to achieve a 50% reduction in carbon emissions in the next 3 years by constantly reviewing and monitoring the following target areas:

 

PRODUCTION

  • We supplement the running of the machines and offices using solar energy.

  • Significant investment in new machinery has already reduced energy consumption by 50% per mail item and we continue to observe how to improve production further.

WASTE and RECYCLING

  • We recycle ALL waste product from our company including cardboard, paper, polythene and pallets.

  • Internally where possible, we also reuse products rather than buying new, for example reusing cardboard boxes in our fulfilment department.

  • We also recycle cardboard into corrugated packaging for product fulfilment/despatch.

TRANSPORT

  • Working with partners to Increase the use of electric vehicles for collections and deliveries.

  • Consolidating and reducing daily pick-up and delivery times.

  • Employing staff from the local area reducing the use of cars, travel and parking.

SUPPLIES

  • We only buy paper products that are Forestry Commission approved.

  • All products we use are fully recyclable by the recipient.

OFFICES

  • We manage the recycling of office-based waste such as food, plastics, paper and metals according to the requirements of the local waste authority.

  • We use energy efficient lighting throughout the premises.

 

We constantly monitor the above points to ensure we can achieve continual improvement in quality, environmental, health and safety and security management.

 

Sustainability and sustainable development is a key consideration in all aspects of manufacturing, distribution and product sourcing in our future plans to develop Rightsort and its future as a valid and valued supplier to the industry.
